Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
This is my favorite…family vacation! Spending time with family, beautiful sunshine and all day on the beach!
Our days begin with a big ‘ole breakfast whether it’s pancakes, French toast and sausage along with some fresh fruit and a glass of juice or a fried egg with sausage and cheese on a wheat bagel. Our day is ready to begin.
Next, we fill the vehicle with corn hole boards, ez-up, chairs, coolers (lunch made), plenty to drink, lots of snacks and sunscreen, beach towels. In the back of the 4×4 we hold on tight and headed to the beach just a few short blocks away.
Pile out, grab anything you can, so we only have to make one trip up the dunes. Scanning the beach, we locate our favorite spot on the beach. Walking across the hot sand gets us every time!
Now, we’re all set up and ready to enjoy the sun and the waves. Let relaxation begin! Awwww…what a feeling! Hours and hours later, still on the beach, enjoying it all, soaking up the sun, spending it all with family! Locating shells, playing corn hole, listening to music and telling childhood stories. Feet in the sand, light winds and watching the waves, enjoying the children building sandcastles, the dolphins in the water, and taking a walk on the beach. Love it all!
Our day ends with hot showers, grilling out, picking crabs or peeling shrimp. Ice Cream from one of our favorite places, a visit to the pier or a ride up beach road. Visiting different shops is fun too!
Never seem to get enough, always ready for our next trip as the week always flies right on bye and it becomes a beautiful memory!
One of the busiest places to be in New York City during the holiday season…Rockefeller Plaza. Lots of people from all over the world come to see one of the largest Christmas trees in the world. Ice skating, shopping, music, hustle and bustle. Nothing but excitement in the air. Stop for hot cocoa or some Belgian chocolates, to shop or just enjoy all the people. One of my favorite places to see in NYC. Please plan a trip….
I remember making a trip through the mountains to pick you up and bring you home to us. I had no idea that a little over 3 pounds could bring us so much love, fun and companionship! You’re not happy until everybody’s home. Love waking up to kisses and big morning stretches! You are our sweet Princess!
Today, February 17, 2013, my husband and I celebrate 23 years of marriage. We are very fortunate to have shared 23 great years! We have enjoyed creating, building, understanding, trusting and learning through the years. We have a beautiful daughter and one sweet Yorkie. Growing up and in our younger years, both of us didn’t have much. Today, we both share more than we’ve ever had and have opportunities we’ve always dreamed…those things we built together and are very proud! I’m very thankful and feel blessed. My wish is for many more years of fun and excitement!
